Western Blot Service

Western Blot (WB) uses specific antibodies to recognize and detect specific protein targets that have been separated by electrophoresis and transferred to the membrane. The essence of this technique lies in the highly specific interaction between antibodies and antigens, enabling the precise detection of specific target proteins in complex protein samples, such as cell lysates or tissue homogenates. When integrated with co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP), Western Blotting facilitates both qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of target proteins. This makes it an invaluable tool for determining the presence or absence, relative abundance, molecular weight, and post-translational modifications of proteins under study.
